Head Teachers Welcome

A very warm welcome to High Meadow Community School.

A very warm welcome to High Meadow Community School. On behalf of myself, the Staff and the Governors, I would like to welcome you to our website and hope that you enjoy discovering what makes our school so special. High Meadow is a very happy place where all the team take pride in the relationships they make with the children and take time to get to know the children and families individually. Our community is very important and is at the heart of everything we do.

I am incredibly proud to be Headteacher of a school where children are known, valued and encouraged to be the very best they can be. At High Meadow, we are more than a school - we are a community, and we want every child and every family to feel that they truly belong.

Our vision, 'Growing together, every day, in every way,' sits at the heart of everything we do. We believe that primary school should be a time of excitement, discovery and possibility: a place where children develop strong foundations for learning while also building the confidence, character and curiosity they will need for the future.

We have high expectations for every child. Through high-quality teaching, a rich and ambitious curriculum and a wide range of experiences beyond the classroom, we aim to inspire children to think, question, explore and achieve. We want children to become confident, independent and resilient learners who are ready to embrace new challenges.

Just as importantly, High Meadow is a place where relationships matter. We want our children to feel safe, happy and confident; to know that they have adults who believe in them; and to develop the courage to challenge themselves, make mistakes and keep going when things are difficult.

We recognise that every child is unique. Our role is to understand each child, celebrate their strengths and provide the right support and challenge so that they can flourish academically, socially and personally.

Families are an essential part of our High Meadow community. We believe children achieve their best when school and home work together, and we value the relationships we build with parents, carers and grandparents throughout a child's journey with us. We encourage open communication and want families to feel welcome and involved in school life.

Above all, we want children to leave High Meadow with happy memories, strong foundations, a belief in themselves and the aspiration to make the most of the opportunities ahead of them.

Thank you for visiting our website; I hope it gives you a flavour of what makes High Meadow such a special place. The best way to experience our school, however, is to come and see it for yourself. We would be delighted to welcome you.
