The learning journey continues in Year 6.
The children will continue to learn about and explore a range of exciting new topics across the curriculum, building on the skills and knowledge they have already received. They will also recap learning they have completed during their time at High Meadow – build connections and apply their knowledge. We encourage all of our children to be inquisitive learners and we use this curiosity to help shape the direction of our topics.
Our vision is for every child to be the best possible version of themselves. We aim to provide a range of experiences and opportunities that the children may not have access to outside of our school.
We recognise the importance of the children taking control of their own learning. Within Year 6, our children are responsible for their own learning. They are independent.
Year 6 is also the place for our children to grow as people. We recognise the importance of supporting our children in building relationships, growing in empathy and becoming well-rounded and happy members of our community. This is their final year at Primary School. By the end of this year they will be ready to transition to their next phase of learning armed with our High Meadow Learning Powers to be as successful individuals.
